Sweet!
I made some yummy peanut butter rice crispy treats yesterday! Krystle found the recipe online, surprisingly easy except for the clean up portion (such as mess lol). We had neat cookie cutters and I made myself a dinosaur!
Some bonding time can be incredibly sweet, especially with your reese's pieces. :]

Teenage Dream?
It's one of those slow but crazy days at work. Every one is off to the High Point Market in North Carolina and it's just Cherie and I holding down the fort. Slightly overwhelmed at the moment, thought I'd write to relieve some stress before my world gets turned upside down.
Fyi, they play Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" almost every hour on 106.7. I'm a fan of Katy Perry but still, listening to this song all day can make you want to drive an ice pick into someone's face. . . not so good when you're a little high strung over piles of POs.
Wish me luck world, I'm going to need it!

Holy Crux
It's one of those nights. . . too tired to sleep.
Do you ever have that feeling that you're too exhausted to do anything but so restless you feel that you should do something? I wish my life were more exciting and not plagued by daily routine. What happened to late night rides to 7-11 to get slushies? What happened to spontaneous road trips to Gainesville? Oh yeah, age, that's what happened.
Is is true that as you get older, you get less creative? Or do you just stop trying as hard?

The XX
On a musical adventure today; revisiting some old favorites and becoming acquainted with some new sounds.
Listened to Magnetic Fields today on the way to dim sum, "69 Love Songs" is one of my most favorite albums.

Finally got a chance to listen to The XX (suggested by Ricky). The music is great but I especially love the music video for the song "Islands" take a gander here.
As instrumentals go, "Last Carnival" is wonderful. Composed by Norihiro Tsuru, the music just speaks to you, eerily haunting at some points.
And I've heard this song almost EVERYWHERE for, what seems like, forever. It was even on Gossip Girl I think. I feel like everyone knows this song, except for me until today! I've had it stuck in my head most of the day, good job MGMT for "Kids".
Side note: I still don't know how to punctuate a sentence that ends with quotations, before or after the quote? I'm going to risk it today, just for the hell of it, after the quote it is.
There's still this one song that I can't remember exactly. It's used in a lot of movie soundtracks, very dramatic (sounding -- if that make sense). We even had it in one of our APAC videos back in 2007, but the video was muted by YouTube so I can't figure out which song it is. It's one of those songs that just makes you tear up when you hear it, or at least I always get misty when it's played. I suppose the journey continues as I try to figure out which song is stuck in my head -- with no melody, no tune, no lyrics, and basically no sound. Maybe I'll stumble upon some more great finds in music tonight, here's hoping.

NY, NY
Went to New York this past weekend for National Conference. I don't know if I'll ever be "too old" to enjoy a weekend with the sisters. Had lots of fun, ate lots of food, and met some new and old friends. I'm really glad I went!!!!
Planning my next trip back to New York to do something different and I think Martin might actually tag along! :D
I'm so excited to travel, that I think I want to start a giant game of travel tag. Starting with my friend Cynthia. She came down to Florida last semester, and I just went up to NY, so it's her turn to come back down to Florida. This might catch on, just you wait and see; remember, I make dreams come true, which loosely translates to "I make things happen" lol.

Quest Crew!
Jess and I had an awesome GG Adventure this Saturday! First we had a great lunch at Bangkok Square. Mangoes are in season so I got some mango sticky rice, which I'm totally excited about lol. And then, on a sort-of whim, I convinced Jess to go with me to Monsters of Hip-Hop/Contemporary Convention at the Hyatt Regency in Orlando. Needless to say I got lost, the freaking airport is like a maze and it took me 3 1/2 tries to figure out that I just had to park at the airport b
ecause the Hyatt is inside the airport. I feel like an idiot but that's alright because I got to see Quest Crew! They performed two sets; a compilation of some of their work from America's Best Dance Crew and some new bboy stuff. It was pretty cool to see live, not gonna lie. We waited afterwards to get some photos (I'm a little dense and didn't think to bring a camera so the pics were suuuuper blurry cause I had to take it with my camera phone haha). Anyhow, it was still great to see them and great to hang out with my GG. Afterwards we went to a friend's house party to celebrate their fraternity getting chapter status (congrats Phi Chapter of the Pi Delta Psi Fraternity, Inc.). All in all, an awesome weekend.

All in all, an awesome weekend. This whole week we're filming our video for APAC Assembly. My little asked if I'd like to lend my voice for some parts and it was pretty cool to use real equipment to record. It's gonna be a great show, I can feel it lol. The speaker/guest performer is still undecided but we're hoping it's someone who can deliver. We've had a few memorable guests at our APAC events: Beau Sia, Passion, Asia. Here's hoping this year we can top that! Maybe with a member from the Quest Crew?!?!? I don't know, it's always good to dream big. :)
On a side note, somehow amongst all the excitement, I've been dubbed the woman that can make dreams come true. Let's hope it sticks (and most of all, let's hope it's true).
