Packing is a pain. . . I should have packed when my mom yelled at me and told me to pack lol. The pressure is on! I wouldn't feel all crazy if I didn't have to go to work at 7am (and since I'm a grandma, I have a strong belief in getting those 8 hours of sleep in order to function properly lol).
Presently, I am taking a little break from all the boxes (ahh my gah, they're so intimidating!).
Uhh, sooo, yeah. . . Work went well today lol, learned some more things. It's all kinda random actually, which bothers me, I hate when there is no routine to things. I got epically confused today when putting through a purchase, I looked like a total moron, ughh I hate when people think I'm stupid :(. Nowhere else to go but up, I guess, haha.
I found my CD case this morning and popped some of my favorites into the car CD player. My "punk rock mix" totally reminded me of high school (the good old days, hehe). Listened to some Mest, MXPX, Jimmy Eats World, NFG, and Me, First, and the Gimme Gimmes. Awesome! :D
A few song lyrics to sum up my day:
"Motivate me, I wanna get myself out of this bed" Good Charlotte
"Responsibility, what's that? Responsibility! Not quite yet!" MXPX
"Oh why, all the possibilities. . . That's what you get, when you let your heart win" Paramore
Back to hell. . . I mean packing. :)

I Just Wanna Be Successful
My first week of work is going well, the cross-training is definitely getting to me, so much to learn! lol
I was thinking of going back to school to get a Masters of Science, or an MBA, but I'm not sure what program I'd like to concentrate on or where I'm going to go but UCF is definitely among one of the options. Virginia/Maryland seem like good choices too (GMU, GWU, UMCP, UMBC, etc.) it'll be a little easier because I have family in that area. Ultimately, I'd like to teach at the college level, non-tenure though; I don't really care too much about research (although I appreciate those who conduct them). I had some classmates that suggested I teach, since I mentioned that I loved "doing" school and I'm good at it. School motivates me and I miss it terribly; big fish, small pond I suppose. Here's hoping that this job works out, my future endeavors become realized, and for once all of it will go smoothly.
"I'll prove it! I'll prove it like a theorem!" lol, from Friends. :D

With the Top Down Seat Back. . .
. . . rolling in my Cadillac!
Well not a Cadillac, but a 2005 Lexus (it's really not as snazzy as everyone makes it seem, it's just a loan until my mother gets another car). Oh! I drove on the highway today, it was the second time in my whole 22-years of existence lol. Rest assured, I didn't kill/hurt anything/anyone, Martin was my chaperone haha.
Today was also the first day of my new job, I would tell you what my job title is but I don't seem to have one; there's a lot of cross-training at this small business, but I like it, keeps me on my toes (well not currently, but it will, I think. . . lol)
My friend Ricky mentioned to me about starting a blog, although I have one (exhibit A) I was thinking about creating a theme for my blog. Currently it's just my feelings about things that go on and it's pretty boring most of the time. This whole brainstorming session made me realize I'm not passionate about anything, which is utterly disappointing. But that's alright I suppose, this blog can start off as my blog about blogging or blogging themes rather or I don't know. It sounded interesting in my head lol. Let's start small, I will create each blog based on a memorable quote and relate it to my day (hence the lovely song by "Mest: that inspired my current blog title). We'll work from here, by we I mean me and my spiritual guide. I'd like to find passion in something and share it with others, it's a new, post-graduate goal.
Off to bed, work in the morning. :)

Family <3
I had an awesome weekend with the family. :D
My mommy, aunty, cousin and her boyfriend all came up from South Florida. My cousin just went shopping and hung out in Orlando. My mommy and aunty made us a delicious dinner: pan-fried noodles! We had a really great time. . . I'm a little sad that they're gone :(
Buuuuut my mommy left me her car, so now I am mobile!! lol
It's all very bittersweet, really. I'll have this car for a week and if she wants a new one, I'll keep her old one; if she wants her old one back, I'll get a cheaper/more affordable new car lol.
Now, I have to pack up all of my crap and move out of my apartment soooon. Oh how time flies. :)

A Lamentable Tragedy. . .
How unfortunate for those who seem to judge others as if they, themselves, were created not equal, but better.
You can't just use others at your own accord and dispose of them when you please. This goes for services and especially towards activities requiring monetary contributions.
I know you judge us or hate us or think that we are users but you're assumptions don't give you the right to act in such a disrespectful way. You can't just use someone's money without asking them; just a tip, if it feels wrong, it must be wrong. And if it didn't feel wrong, then my dears, you are all as empty on the inside as your physical demeanor suggests. I don't care who the hell you are or what the hell you contribute to the world, stealing is stealing. This is no "Robin Hood" situation, we're a non-profit organization serving the community. We owe you nothing, so we will give you nothing. How dare you underestimate me, my group, and our intentions. How dare you.

Wth Ryan Reynolds?
Don't get me wrong, I think Ryan Reynolds is such a fun actor. I liked a lot of movies he's starred in but I'm a little sad that they won't be casting Common as The Green Lantern. :(
Apparently, Ryan Reynolds can be any superhero he wants to be lol. First he was casted as Marvel's Hannibal King in "Blade: Trinity," rumored to be "The Flash," casted and starring as Deadpool in the "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" spinoff, and then now "The Green Lantern." I feel like this guy is super lucky. On a kinda similar note, his wife, Scarlet Johanson will be the Black Widow in "Iron Man 2." What a crazy couple lol.

Quest for Work, Part II
I had my second "test" day at work today. The office/warehouse is called Home Elegance spelled Homelegance lol. They distribute and wholesale furniture pieces that you see at your local furniture store. If all goes as planned, I should be getting my car this weekend and I can start my job full-time on Monday. :D
My mommy, aunty, and my cousin Carol (along with my cousin's boyfriend, Philip, whom my mother only acknowledge's as her nieces "friend" so we'll just leave it at that lol) should be coming up this weekend. Hopefully she'll get me a car, or at least give me her car ::crosses fingers::.
It's unnerving to find that your parents planned out your life long before you had any idea you were about to embark on your future. I can't help but feel that my mom planned all along, not helping me get a car so that I would have to be forced to move back home after college. Resilience, I suppose, is the major lesson learned; to never give up and to appreciate those that sacrifice so much and most of the time, gain so little.
This job has a lot of different tasks for me (accounting, data entry, customer service, administrative, etc.) so I get to choose what I'd like to focus on at work. I think this is going to be a good start for my own career path.
And to end with a quote from the 1951 version of "Alice in Wonderland,"
"If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary-wise; what it is it wouldn't be, and what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?"
I can't wait for the Tim Burton remake! :)

Why Are You so Obtuse?
Yay for movie day with the boyfriend! :D
I finally saw "Shawshank Redemption" today; won't lie, there were some tear jerking moments in that movie. Like Martin said, "[I] like how the film just 'works' out."
On a sillier note, I re-watched "Labyrinth" today! I lo ved David Bowie in the movie and the music reminded me so much of the 80's lol. Definitely Jennifer Connelly at her best haha, jk jk.
It's hard to find a movie buddy sometimes but I'm glad I have my boo. :)
Next movies to re-watch:
Amelie
Muppet Treasure Island! :D

That "New Blog" Feeling
Yay! New blog! lol
I thought I would try something new. . . again. . . hehe. A new place to post my random ramblings about the people, places, and things (also known as nouns) that inspire, excite, or bother the crap out of me. :D
First things first, the correct usage of the term "nauseous" is as follows:
"The trash is nauseous" = "The trash is emitting a foul odor"
"I am nauseated by the trash" = "The trash makes me feel sick"
I can't stand it when people say they are nauseous, that doesn't make any sense, unless of course you're admitting to smelling foul, in that case, carry on with your current term usage.
I'm not the most anal grammar nazi out there, my present state is a result of years of friendship with those who judge more harshly than I do and about much more trivial things, but I thought I'd share my knowledge of the word "nauseous" in case anyone wanted to know it's definition.
More posts to come and hopefully about more interesting subjects. :)
